Miami Gender Reveal Guide
Updated July 23, 2026
Miami’s beaches, parks, and warm climate make it a year-round destination for gender reveals, with a few local factors worth planning around.
Popular venue types
- Backyard and residential outdoor spaces for smoke, confetti, or balloon reveals.
- Beaches and waterfront parks — a popular choice for photos, but most require a permit for group gatherings, and many restrict or ban fireworks and smoke devices outright; confirm with Miami-Dade County or the specific municipality first.
- Indoor event spaces and banquet halls, useful given how quickly South Florida weather can turn.
Weather considerations
Miami’s wet season (roughly May through October) brings frequent afternoon storms and high humidity, so outdoor reveals in those months are safer scheduled earlier in the day with an indoor backup ready. Hurricane season overlaps the same window, so check storm forecasts if you’re planning close to your date. The dry season (November–April) generally offers more predictable outdoor conditions.
Permit and regulation considerations
Miami-Dade County and its municipalities have some of the stricter fireworks and smoke-device rules in Florida, and beach and park use often comes with additional restrictions. Confirm current local regulations before purchasing or using any combustible reveal product — see our safety checklist for general guidance.
